Race Director Consulting

The race director for RMS is Laurie Mehler. Laurie has been race directing triathlons & formerly some mountain bike races & trail runs since 2002, with almost 50 events in her portfolio.

RMS currently produces 7 triathlons: 3 open water, 4 pool swim triathlons; 1 that is an all female event, 1 kids triathlon.

Laurie also was on the USATriathlon Mid-Atlantic Region board for 3 yrs, 2006-2008. She served as the local Richmond Tri Club President 2001-2003 and created the 3Sports Triathlon @ Shady Grove as well as the West Creek Duathlon, serving as race director from 2002-2004 as a volunteer for the club.

Laurie has attended national triathlon race director conferences since 2003.

With a growing demand for advice and documentation, RMS has a new arm of Triathlon race directing consulting and service.

What's available?

Event checklist that cover everything from permits, insurance, sponsorships, web, marketing to race day execution. These list have been tweaked and formulated over the last 8 years with input from our team and hours and hours of thought, hard lessons, and planning. We know what works and what probably will not!
Reasonable hourly consultation rates are open for negotiation based on budgets, total number of hours needed, size of the event, and whether or not documents are purchased.
Initial Q & A up to 10 minutes are free.
We recommend the USAT race director conference held annually in Colorado Springs, CO in February. www.usatriathlon.org
